This is straight-up – find the best location, the right type of equipment and conditions to catch the greatest prize. Don’t expect any narrative here where a dragon has taken your fish away, zombies taking over the world or escaping the underworld. I come to The Fisherman – Fishing Planet with wide eyes and a lot of patience, as I would expect one would need that to catch dem fish. My fishing experience, outside of carnivals has mostly been in plaices like Saint-Denis and Van Horn Trading Post. But, is The Fisherman – Fishing Planet any good, or is it a pile of carp? I don’t like buses, but I very much enjoyed it. I was caught with my pants down with the Bus Simulator game. To be honest, I don’t even eat fish, so playing this game could seem a little half-arsed, but not in the slightest. I know many people in the world of fish (don’t ask) but do I know anything about catching fish? Not really. Let me make it clear from the outset, I’m not a fisherman. This fintastic release from Big Ben Interactive is in shops 17th October 2019, and it’s my job to give you a fair account on whether you should be leaving your tackle alone and picking up this bad boy. 219lb worth of LM bass money then a bonus grand for that tarpon. If I didn’t go through a review of The Fisherman – Fishing Planet without making any sort of fish pun, I’d be doing a disservice to dads everywhere. So like in the pic above my total ended up being 249.116lb. The ROI is not great on them but what I was doing in FL was filling my 220 net to 219 or so with LM bass and then going to get a giant tarpon to overfill my net. I think there was a patch in there somewhere. The last few that I caught were definitely more acrobatic than when I started catching them. You can catch them in the open channel too. You don't need to cast at the trees in my last pic btw, they just seem to be further than 150 feet. Not worth fishing for except for a tick list, but they are there. They also fight like a carp whereas they are known for their aerobatics IRL.īut, they are on the PS4. Theae are aggresive fish that should be hitting lures and scaring anglers, instead they're only 150 feet+ out and give a very poor return on your investment. They aren't worth anything and require time and patience. I have to be honest, I see a wasted opportunity.
