I also established My covenant with them, to give them the land of Canaan, the land in which they sojourned. That You would set a limit for me and remember me! That You would conceal me until Your wrath returns to You, He will not awake nor be aroused out of his sleep. When it is cut down, that it will sprout again,Īnd a river becomes parched and dried up, Until he fulfills his day like a hired man. “Turn Your gaze from him that he may rest, “Who can make the clean out of the unclean?Īnd his limits You have set so that he cannot pass. He also flees like a shadow and does not remain.Īnd bring him into judgment with Yourself. “Like a flower he comes forth and withers. The land of utter gloom as darkness itself, Withdraw from me that I may have a little cheer ‘I should have been as though I had not been, Would that I had died and no eye had seen me! ‘Why then have You brought me out of the womb? ‘Should my head be lifted up, You would hunt me like a lion Īnd again You would show Your power against me. I am sated with disgrace and conscious of my misery. If I sin, then You would take note of me,Īnd if I am righteous, I dare not lift up my head. ‘Yet these things You have concealed in Your heart ‘You have granted me life and lovingkindness ‘Remember now, that You have made me as clay Īnd knit me together with bones and sinews? ‘Your hands fashioned and made me altogether, ![]() ![]() Yet there is no deliverance from Your hand. ‘According to Your knowledge I am indeed not guilty, And to look favorably on the schemes of the wicked? ![]()
